TBG History

It all started with two guys, a girl, and a countertop fryer…. Back in the fall 2011, what some might say was their, "hitting rock bottom," they saw it as their opportunity to make a lifelong dream, a reality. At the time, Owen and Scott were working part-time at a local restaurant, coming home some nights with only $16 in their pocket, and Cortney, Owen's wife, was working two part-time jobs and taking care of their oldest son, Tyler. Owen had always talked about opening his own sports bar, and calling it, Third Base Grill, for his love of baseball and just as much because he could use the catchphrase, "your last stop before home." Scott, Owen and Cortney had been friends for years, and knowing they were all down on their luck figured, what the heck- what do we have to lose? Having 25 years of experience in the restaurant business between the 3 of them, they were confident they could make it work and had a pretty good idea of where to begin... with the food. In Owen and Cortney's 1960s kitchen, much of the food you love today was born with a 4-burner electric stove and a countertop fryer. After selecting the perfect location, everything else fell into place. Now, TBG has become a local favorite due to the family-like atmosphere, fantastic American bar food, and hometown service. Opening the doors to TBG wasn't easy. There were many sets of hands that helped them get to the finish line, but it was their families and faith that were the driving force.
